Only pages 4-6 are covered here. |

Bart has super-fast reflexes which should allow him to avoid an attack like this. His senses are a bit befuddled anyway, due to wanting to tell Carol he loves her, but the gas probably has a super-speed deployment mechanism to get past his speed, and it works with skin contact rather then needing to be inhaled. It may also be tailored specifically to his body chemistry, since Carol undoubtedly get some of the gas, too, but doesnt show the same effects. |
| 4:4 |
Because of the art style, it isnt even clear whether the kidnapper is male or female. (This is probably intentional, since the kidnapper turns out to be Carol herself, as an adult.) |
| It is presumably coincidence that the adult Carol and Inertias costumes are both green and black. Time will tell, though, as this story progresses; there may turn out to be a direct connection in the end. |
| 5:5 |
The kidnapper seems to be having trouble with Carol, as he (she?) is further out of the warp here than in 5:2. |
| 6:2 |
That is Impulses foot running past the now-unconscious Bart. At the end of this issue, Bart uses a time machine. As seen in Impulse #73, he goes back to before Carols kidnapping and follows her through the time warp at the last moment. |
