Plot:

 Mr. Tawny leaps into the timestream outside Ibis’ cave in an attempt bring a Captain Marvel from the future back to the 20th century in order to save the current ones.  He gets Thunder, the Captain Marvel of the 90th century, but loses her on the way back to the 20th century.

Only scenes dealing with Legion of Super-Heroes characters are dealt with here.

19:1 Thunder was introduced in The Power of Shazam! Annual #1.  One of the “Dead Earth” annuals, it took place in the far future, in the 90th century.  Thunder’s mentor there is the 20th century Captain Marvel, having taken over the role of the Wizard.
Mr. Tawny is actually stuffed animal brought to life by a demonic spirit that switched to the side of good.
The object in Mr. Tawny’s pocket is a Mother Box.  It allows the Marvels to contact Shazam; he used it to track down Thunder.
The rope connects Mr. Tawny to Dudley Batson and Taia outside the timestream, at Ibis’ cave.
19:2 The hurtling figure is Black Adam, the evil Captain Marvel of ancient Egypt.
Other than being a town in Wisconsin, the background behind Thunder’s “Iola” epithet is unknown.
20:3 A footnote dropped off, indicating that Thunder would show up outside the timestream in Legion of Super-Heroes v4 #<110>.
